The deafmute and deaf representation of Serbia, had begun their preparations for the Olympic Games for deaf and deafmute, which will be held in Taiwan from 6th to 12th September. Just to remind, the team that is lead by Vojislav Malesevic, won the European Championship for deaf and deafmute, held in Serbia, in the Belgrade 'Sumicama'. The fact that the Olympic Games are taken seriously, speaks the fact that the representation gathered 2 weeks ago in Uzice, to start their preparations for these Games, which are a substitute for the World Championship, as there isn't such in this category.

In the city on Djetini, in the mini-preparations, four trainings were completed, and a friendly game against the local, second-league team was played. The players were told the plans for the trainings until early august, when the final preparations are to take place. In the three-weeks to come, the players will first gather in Novi Sad, where the necessary tests will take place, and then moving to Belgrade and Temerin, to finalise their preparations for the road to Asia.

On the Olympic Games, a total of 7 teams will play. Serbia is in the first group along with the teams of Croatia (vice-champion of Europe), Thailand and the USA, while in the second group are the teams of Germany, Turkey and Taiwan.

Balkan-Handball.com will set example and to try to raise awareness about the social responsibility and humanity towards the people with handicap. Our intention is to follow all the activities of the deaf and deafmute representation of Serbia, help their media promotion, and point out the problems that people with handicap deal with, in their wish to do sportive activities. Our intention was met with approval from the people around the national team, and we hope to work together for the good of handball and hoping to hear good news from Taiwan mid-September.
