The handball players of Metalurg have beaten Vardar Pro in the derby of the Macedonian league with 28:22 (17-8). From the beginning the players of Lino Cervar were stronger than their opponents, and the result at the halftime 17:8 speaks of that, while at some time the advantage went to +10 as well (20:10). For Metalurg, Mojsovski was great with 10 goals, while Marko Curuvija scored 6 goals. While for the defeated side, Angelovski scored 6 times.
With a victory over its greatest rival, Cervar of course outsmarted Veselin Vujovic. However, what marked the match was the unusual injury of Metalurg's coach. Lino Cervar during a reaction in the 56th min, slided and then fell down. His arm got injured and Cervar was immediately taken to the Skopje hospital where Dr Boro Iliev put his arm back without any needs for operation. Because of strong pain, Cervar was advised to rest 24 hours in the hospital. Rentgen scans are optimistic, and Cervar after the immobilisation, which will last about 10 days, will be given therapy.
