The biggest surprise in the third round of German Cup is elimination of TBV Lemgo from second divison team, VfL Bad Schwartau. Lemgo was on a good way and haven't problems in the first half, so the half time result was 12:17 for them. Than in second half after 17:21 Lemgo was 10 minutes without a goal, so Bad Schwartau changed the result to 23:21. After a Lemgo team timeout fthe game was open again, Lemgo goes again on winning streak and leads with 23:25. But to many mistakes bring Bad Schwartau back in the game. Two minutes before the end the result was tied with 27:27. Martin Strobel scored the next goal, but Bad Schwartau can equalise the score with 7-Meter. On the other side Bad Schwartau goalkeeper saved a 7-meter shot, but couldnt use the chance for a next goal, Lemgo had the ball again. Then a technical mistake give the ball to Bad Schwartau and they made in the last minute the game winning goal.
Last season Cup winner THW Kiel reached the next round with a 32:29 against TV Grosswallstadt. Kiel havent played so good but with 7 goals from Ilic and Narcisse they go to the next round. Also leader in German Bundesliga, HSV Hamburg is up to the next round. With a 43:24 versus second divison team TuSpo Obernburg. Schröder with 9 and Duvnjak with 7 goals were the best shooters in HSV Hamburg.
