"Bijelo Dugme" in Szeged…

Maybe this topic is more appropriate for some other ambient, where there is a bigger mix of players from former Yugoslavia, but we were by what we heard by the speaker in the hall after the end of the game Pick Szeged and Balatonfured 33:21, which the home players easily won. Usually, this goal difference and these games are standard, when it comes to the Hungarian league. Of course, here we can't count MKB Veszprem, which is as Szeged people say, much stronger financially and organizationally, so every taking of the league title from them, as it happened in 2007, a huge success for any club. Veszprem managed to win in Szeged in this year's first match between these two teams, although that's very hard, if we consider that the hall is acoustic, and it can welcome 4000 loud fans. It was wednesday, working day. A match was played with execution of the 'Balatonians', which after the first 10 minutes was a boring match, but on the stands some 2000 people, many families with children, wearing shirts of the club, following the rhytm of the drums. In the end, as we also know from some TV broadcasts, the tradition around the field with players shaking hands and greetings fans continues.

Of this "standard" we've been thinking all the way back to home. Where is the "middle class", and why at us, if something is good, it attracts hooligans, and when it's not, as it is since years ago, it only brings in the hall parents, girlfriends and some bored journalist. The problem is not in the ticket price, as many clubs don't even charge them. Luckily, the road from Szeged to Belgrade, with the branded club 'Hyundai', (generally, all players have one with their names and shirt numbers on the doors) lasted only 2 hours and 20 minutes, so we didn't have much time to get into agony regarding the situation of the handball in our country.

Just to remind, for Pick Szeged play Andjelkovic, Marjanac, Puljezevic, Nenadic, Krivokapic, Osmajic, Zvizej, while the main coach is Vladan Matic, while his assistants are also Banjkovic and Radulovic. Adding few more Romanians and Hungarians, that's a team for respect in the european competitions. Last week they lost in the first game of the 1/8 final in the Cup Winners Cup against Dunaferr (the third Hungarian team, the only that can parry Veszprem and Pick Szeged) 33:29 away, but in informal talk with the players, we got to know that the 'revenge' will be much more convincing. Either way, the club management told the players that final in the Cup Winners Cup this year is the real scale…
