At the beginning of the season, Balkan-Handball.com talked with a new right back of Pick Szeged, Croat, Igor Kos, who played also for Ademar Leon, Celje Pivovarna Lasko, Flensburg, etc…
After one season you go from Ademar Leon to Pick Szeged, what are the reasons?
– In Leon are a lot of foreign players and at the beginning I played not so good, at the end it was better but it was not the future for me. Now in Szeged everything will be okay and I will have more space to play and to support the team.
You feel good in the team?
– Yes, everything is okay. I am here now just for one week, but the guys are good and we are a good team. I hope that we will do some good results this year.
I read you had an offer from Qatar, it was an option for you?
– Yes, it was an good option for me, but I could not decide to go to Qatar cause of my Children and my wife. I think I am in a good health now and its maybe to early to go to Qatar, I can now play in Champions League and at a good team in Europe.
What are your targets for the next season?
– I hope that we can reach something, we now that Vezprem is very good team. Maybe we can reach some in cup and pass the first round in Champions League and with some luck we can reach something nice.
You played in the best leagues, in Spain, in Germany and in France, which is the best league now for you?
– I dont know, I really was everywhere but I think the best handball is in Spain. Its more tactic in the games not just to shoot.
What you know about the Hungarian league?
– I dont know so much, I know a few teams and I know the players but I dont know how the league is.
