The best and most recognizable player of the German National team, the left back of HSV, Pascal Hens, is going to miss the upcoming European Championship in Austria! The well known jump-shots person, for over a year has problems with the injuries. Firstly his knee suffered at the Olympic Games in Beijing, while last summer he had operation on his heel, from which he never fully recovered. In such circumstances, he thanked Heiner Brandt for the call:
– All I want is to play without pain and fully ready. I play for two years already with injuries, so playing on the European Championship, where games are being played almost every day, would be madness for me – said Hens.
Germany is going to face Sweden, Poland and Slovenia in Group C. On the final preparations, the Germans will play control games against Iceland, Serbia's opponent, as well as against the host Austria.
