Despite all the problems that were connected with the club Kiel, the Kiel handball players played this season in the Bundesliga in a spectacular way. Only one defeat, in the last round against Lemgo, when it meant nothing to them, one draw in the first round against Stralsunder, and 28 wins. Magnificent score by Karabatic and his co-players, who broke all records regarding 'victories in a row' and won their 5th title in a row. On the celebration of the trophy, the 'Zebras' hosted Wetzlar 36:28 (17:14), led by Zoran Djorsic as the coach. Philip Jicha was the most efficient with nine goals, while for the visitors, Aleksandar Stanojevic scored two.
With five rounds to go, the fight for the Champions League title is more or less decided…
